(The Hosting News) – AIS (American Internet Services), a leader in tailored data center and cloud service solutions, welcomes Marc Clark as the Senior Director of Cloud Computing in San Diego. Previously, Clark was Senior Director of Enterprise Cloud Solutions at ScaleMatrix.
“I joined AIS because of our ability to deliver multiple types of cloud solutions to the marketplace. AIS has a clear understanding of what many potential cloud customers are looking for, which varies based on the business need,” Clark commented. “Some customers are most concerned with price and scalability, which we address with AIS BusinessCloud1. Others are not yet ready for a multi-tenant cloud environment, and for them AIS offers dedicated, private cloud solutions hosted and managed by AIS.”
Clark earned his MBA from San Diego State University, and has worked for companies such as Kyocera Wireless, Qualcomm, and Qwest. He has over a decade of experience working with enterprises of all sizes to solve problems with technology.
Clark is a Director of the Association of IT Professionals (AITP), where he previously served as President of the San Diego chapter and is currently serving as Chairman of the AITP Cloud Computing Conference for the fifth year in a row. For years, Clark has worked to bring thought leaders in cloud computing and big data to the San Diego IT and business community through this conference, which features speakers from important technology companies such as Amazon, Dell, Google, Microsoft, and SalesForce.
Clark recognizes AIS’s keen understanding of the cloud market and finds strong potential in many of the company’s offerings such as ClearCompute, a software as a service (SaaS) solution for the biotechnology industry, and BusinessCloud1, a VMware infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solution with tremendous flexibility, scalability, and performance created for business users across the country.
