(The Hosting News) – Popular computer chip maker AMD revealed two new graphic-based cards on Monday, setting up data center administrators with effective options for graphic deployments via their facilities.

Called the AMD FirePro S9000 and S7000, the tech components can handle heavy workloads, allowing administrators to manage infrastructure globally, the company emphasized in a press release.

AMD Senior Director of Professional Graphics David Cummings talked about the desire more companies had when it came to virtualizing their “IT ecosystem.”

“With the arrival of the AMD FirePro S9000 and S7000 GPUs, we are responding to these needs by providing a seamless solution. Our server graphics not only provide an unrivaled feature set for data center customers, but blistering compute performance and outstanding power efficiency,” commented Cummings.

Pricing for the AMD FirePro S9000 and S7000 cards are set at $2,499 and $1,249 respectively.

Meanwhile, the chip maker emphasized that the tech solutions worked more efficiently than competing products. The graphics processors weren’t the only thing the company rolled out today. New AMD Opteron processor-based servers were also unveils by the tech company.
