Recently, a report was released from the advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights or RDR. The report is called the 2015 Corporate Accountability Index. It evaluates 16 of the largest internet and telecommunications companies on disclosure policies and public commitments.
The report had Google winning with a score of 65% and Yahoo right behind at 58%. However no company really scored very well on the report. The report showed that many companies are lacking in clarity when it comes to the disclosures and how user information is treated.
