News: Texalink Launches Local Web Hosting Company
Jaguar Technologies LLC, a Houston-based web hosting provider founded in 1998, is launching a new sister company.
Texalink, the latest in a line of Jaguar offshoots, was created primarily to cater to businesses in the Houston market.
Jaguar Technologies LLC is the creation of founder and CEO Greg Landis.
Landis spent years building the company from scratch out of his home
while serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Upon leaving
active-duty, Landis expanded the company in Houston with the help of a
handful of friends and Air Force colleagues.
After acquiring other small companies offering similar services, Landis
and his team molded the parent company to its current status. Texalink
functions under the management of the five Houstonians currently
running the business from the offices on the Southwest Freeway. "Being
locally owned and operated, we wanted to offer competitively priced
hosting and servers that are secure and reliable to our Houstonian
neighbors," Landis said.
A partnership Landis and his team believe will go far, Texalink
operates on the "by Texans, for Texans" approach. He questions, "Why
pay more for an impersonal conglomerate when you can call a local
office and get hands on service to determine what works best for your
needs?" That’s just the kind of thinking that has brought Landis out of
his living room and into one of the premiere data centers in the metro
area.
Texalink provides shared hosting, reseller programs and semi-dedicated
packages as just a few of the many options available to clients.
However, Landis states, "Texalink was formed primarily to provide
dedicated servers and collocation to our fellow Houston-based
businesses."
