highly competitive sport, complete with cyber athletes and professional leagues from all
over the country who compete in national
tournaments. PNY Technologies, Inc. announced today it is sponsoring the Winter Counter-Strike 1.6 national tournament.
PNY Technologies is the exclusive
provider of its Verto GeForce graphics cards and high-speed gamer
memory for the PNY CPL Winter Counter-Strike 1.6 Qualifiers being hosted at
Cyber Square Alliance (CSA) centers nationwide on November 12-13.
Press and spectators are invited to attend the LAN event at the web2zone
cyber center in New York City on November 12 to observe professional video
gamers and eSport cyber athletes compete for over $20,000 in cash and prizes;
including PNY Verto 7800GT graphics cards, Attache 2.0 USB 256MB flash
drives and Verto high-speed, 1GB DDR2 memory kits.
First place regional
winners will receive preferred seeding and paid entry to play in the
Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) Winter Championships coming up in
December.

The CPL Winter Counter-Strike 1.6 Qualifiers, sponsored by PNY, will take place simultaneously at five of North America's premier LAN cyber centers, including web2zone (New York), Gamers Asylum (Florida), CG Centre (California), Net Heads (Indiana) and GameWyze (Texas).
Day 1 will consist of the local LAN tournament with placement prizes and an MVP prize. Day 2 will feature a controlled online Grand Finals tournament with the winning teams from each respective location competing to be crowned as champion.

Counter-Strike 1.6 Qualifiers will be held November 12-13, 2005 at 10 a.m. at web2zone - 54 Cooper Square(between Astor Pl and 4th Ave) in New York City, New York.
