(The Hosting News) – Cloud solution specialists RightScale and SoftLayer announced on Tuesday that they had launched new automation solutions thanks to a partnership. The providers said the move gives companies the benefit of scalability all while enabling them to deliver their “computing workloads.”
Meeting increasing traffic demands is a primary need of many online presences, a notion the cloud providers believe their automated solutions will thoroughly assist with. The platform itself makes use of a 2.0 GHz processor, offering benefits in the areas of server templates, streamlined migration, transparency and control, aggregated deployment and more.
In fact, one company in particular has already taken advantage of the solution provided for in the partnership, something highlighted in a press release regarding the matter. Mobile and social game developer Broken Bulb Studios is on board and company CEO Robert Nelson expressed excitement regarding the technology.
“The combination of RightScale and SoftLayer has made our cloud environment more robust and simplified our deployment process, enabling us to automatically scale to meet customer demands,” commented Nelson. Nelson also pointed to cost reduction and redundancy increasing as primary benefits, giving his company the ability to “quickly react to massive influxes of new traffic as our games spread extremely rapidly to new players.” Game titles from Broken Bulb Studios include Braaains, Light the Night, Ninja Warz, My Town and more.
Despite Tuesday’s announcement, the cloud providers previously announced in November that they had begun working on making SoftLayer services available through management solutions from RightScale.
“Being able to achieve a faster time to market and scale rapidly is critical for companies to succeed in today’s business environment,” commented Rightscale VP of Business Development Bailey Caldwell. Both companies provide for a number of cloud solutions. SoftLayer’s offerings include dedicated servers, the CloudLayer CDN, managed services and more. Meanwhile, RightScale offers cloud infrastructure, data analytics, disaster recovery and more. For more information regarding the matter, view a press release by the companies here (softlayer.com).
