(The Hosting News) — Burstfire Networks announced today they have deployed R1Soft Continuous Data Protection® (CDP) to offer clients a comprehensive, hosted off-site backup service, “Burstfire BackOnTrack.”
R1Soft CDP is disk-based server backup software that protects mission-critical data on Windows and Linux servers and virtual machines. By reading data at the block level and using a unique asynchronous replication method to create virtual full backups, R1Soft delivers high-performance data protection and rapid disaster recovery. Burstfire clients will also benefit from CDP for MySQL which facilitates easy management and real-time restoration of MySQL databases.
Through CDP’s centralised management web interface, Burstfire can grant fine-grained access permissions to multiple users. This feature streamlines the technical implementation component and empowers customers with access to their backups. Users simply log in, and from R1Soft’s easy-to-use web interface they can schedule backups up to every 15 minutes and quickly perform Bare-Metal Restores of any recovery point they choose. R1Soft also offers the ability to archive backups on second hard drives or network storage (NAS).

R1Soft Continuous Data Protection® will be available to Burstfire clients as a standalone CDP backup and as part of its Burstfire BackOnTrack product, a dedicated disaster recovery circuit featuring hosted CDP. Burstfire BackOnTrack includes an unmetered fiber optic internet connection (up to1Gbps) and an extensive amount of storage space, providing secure end to end backups. The service will be available for a low monthly fee with setup and installation included at no extra cost.
