(The Hosting News) – C4L’s much anticipated coreTX network is now deployed and fully live at its first 25 locations. The highly resilient 1-100Gb MPLS network which connects Data Centres across the UK has been deployed in parallel to the existing network and C4L has announced that it is ready to accept both new orders and existing customer migrations and upgrades. The first phase of 25 sites is focused on the Data Centre hotspots of Docklands, Central & West London and Manchester, it also includes C4Ls own Data Centre located in Bournemouth.
Last week, C4L’s Chairman Matt Hawkins and CEO Simon Mewett hosted a an invitation only launch event at Mercedes Benz World in Surrey, to mark the launch and to discuss the industry changing network with many of its existing customers.
C4L’s high performance MPLS network, coreTX, is constructed with privately owned dark fibre and spanning PoPs across the UK, designed to deliver the highest capacity to the widest range of data centre locations within industry-leading timescales.
Utilising an all new Juniper Networks core, coreTX will meet the challenges faced by Carriers, ISPs, Content Providers and Businesses, when trying to create a Data Centre Networking Infrastructure. C4L has focussed not only on delivering a high performance network, but also on extremely rapid deployment, offering many services in hours and days, where historically they have taken weeks and months. With connections from 100Mb to 100Gb coreTX delivers scalability and C4L has reinforced this with extremely flexible contract terms making it capable of scaling on demand.
Matt Hawkins, Chairman & Founder of C4L, said: “We embarked on this project because we realised that the UK has been served by inadequate Data Centre network infrastructure and poor delivery times for too long. We have made this multi-million pound investment because we believe that UK businesses need to be better served to enable them to compete both domestically and internationally. coreTX meets this need, offering a competitive advantage to all sectors, especially in markets like Financial services, Media, Content and Cloud platform delivery.”
“It makes me extremely proud to say coreTX is live and taking orders as of today, and I am delighted to show the industry what a fantastic resilient inter-DC network this really is, thank you to the specialist C4L team for all their hard work.”
C4L utilises a wide range of powerful technologies and equipment solutions to deliver coreTX, based on highly resilient dark fibre, this includes DWDM fibre optic equipment, an entirely new Routing and Switching design and MPLS to all sites. All equipment is managed by a team of highly skilled engineers at a dedicated NOC located in the company’s HQ on the South Coast.
C4L is a Colocation, Connectivity, Cloud and Communications provider headquartered on the South Coast, providing access to over 100 UK data centres and more than 300 globally. We have our own data centre located in Bournemouth and a fully privately owned, high-capacity, 1-100Gb capable fibre-optic network, utilising equipment from leading technology vendors such as Juniper, Extreme and Cisco. This high performance MPLS network, called coreTX, links multiple data centres across the UK, using a diverse fibre optic backbone and DWDM technology.
C4L clients include government agencies, FTSE 250 companies, international financial institutions, system integrators, top 100 VARs, resellers and many of the UK’s network carriers. Our entire business is committed to customer satisfaction and quality of service and has achieved certifications such as ISO9001 & 27001 to demonstrate this.
