(The Hosting News) – Hosting provider Rackspace on Monday announced its acquisition of open-source hypervisor ZeroVM.
With the purpose of running cloud applications, the solution was created by LiteStack
“ZeroVM breaks down the barriers between compute and storage. Where traditional cloud architectures have needed to move the data to the app for processing, ZeroVM flips that approach and moves the app to the data. This dramatically increases speed of access and decreases latency,” stated Rackspace’s Van Lindberg via a company blog post.
Meanwhile, Rackspace indicated that it would later provide an “accessible preview.” View the company’s blog post here (Rackspace.com).
