(The Hosting News) – On Wednesday, cloud hosting provider FireHost revealed that it had launched its cloud services at a Phoenix, Arizona data center.
The addition of the Phoenix location gives the web host a presence at four facilities. Other locations include London, Amsterdam and Dallas. In a press release regarding the matter, FireHost emphasized that the move allowed its customers more options regarding server deployment.
Discussing the issue, FireHost CTO Jason Rieger cited Phoenix’s “extremely low incidence of natural disasters” as a factor for selecting the site. “The main benefits of this addition are that FireHost is widening its data center footprint and giving our customers more freedom and options,” Rieger commented.
FireHost provides its Secured Cloud solution starting at $200 dollars per month. Features include enterprise security, server configuration, managed support, hosting add-ons and more.
Meanwhile, there’s already one Phoenix customer who expressed excitement regarding FireHost’s new presence in the state. Co-founder Joshua Strebel of managed WordPress hosting company page.ly stated, “Offering a new data center in this location is another example of the steps the company has taken to maintain that commitment. I love now having my data in my own backyard.”
The news by the company follows a January announcement in which FireHost unveiled its cloud services in the European market, provided through London and Amsterdam data centers. For more information regarding the matter, view a press release here (firehost.com).
