(The Hosting News) – The Syrian Electronic Army has struck again, this time targeting national broadcaster CNN.
According to CNN, multiple social media sites and blogs were hacked by the Syrian activist group on Thursday, including their main Facebook account, Politics’ Facebook account, CNN Twitter pages, and blogs for Political Ticker, The Lead, Security Clearance, The Situation Room and Crossfire.
“Syrian Electronic Army Was Here…Stop lying… All your reports are fake!” stated one post on CNN’s Twitter account.
The SEA stated that the attack on the broadcaster was due to their alleged biased reporting on Syria.
The multiple posts were taken down “within minutes” and all sites are currently secure, confirms CNN.
The group has been linked to hacking newspapers, computers, and companies such as the Financial Times, Twitter, The New York Times, and the BBC.
