(The Hosting News) – cPanel’s annual hosting conference is currently underway in Houston, Texas. And on Tuesday, visitors were given an inside glimpse of where the company’s been, its present activities and what in plans to do in a hosting-central market.
cPanel CEO J. Nick Koston discussed current industry happening, noting cPanel’s uptick in hosting usage globally. He, however, signaled the brand’s ability to improve its scope.
This year, cPanel had big news. It’s fresh off a partnership with popular billing platform WHMCS – used by a number of providers in the industry. As expected, the move could bring tighter synchronization between the solution and cPanel’s own control panel.
Aaron Phillips, company VP of Operations, meanwhile, went into detail regarding cPanel University, launched to help providers become accredited specialists in cPanel offerings. Other aspects discussed were partnerships and the ability for clients to recommend new features of the company.
cPanel Conference 2012 was expected to wrap up today. Other speakers included ServInt’s Christian Dawson who was expected to discuss now derailed legislation (SOPA & PIPA) and other threats against the digital economy.
Attendees also had the chance to test their knowledge on cPanel, whether it be in sales or in technical specifications.
