(The Hosting News) – Email deployment provider Open-Xchange on Tuesday announced integration with popular web hosting controller panel cPanel in addition to WHMCS, a client management and billing service.
In a press release, Open-Xchange CEO Rafael Laguna noted the move would ensure “that service providers will roll out OX Apple Suite quickly and easily. “This helps them grow their SaaS portfolio, boost customer loyalty and drive ARPU – without adding new business processes or changing existing ones.”
The company also said the addition would allow hosting providers to offer Open-Xchange to their customers whether it be through shared hosting, VPS or through cPanel installation.
“cPanel is a widely used platform in the web hosting space, particularly in the U.S., and integration is an important step for software vendors addressing that market. Simplifying the integration process removes a major adoption barrier for hosts, and positions OX App Suite as a likely partner candidate for hosts looking to deliver cloud applications to their customers,” explained 451 Research’s Liam Eagle in the same press release.
With the move, Open-Xchange is hoping that its OX App Suite will compete with other services including Atmail, SquirrelMail, Roundcube and other platforms.
cPanel previously formed a partnership with WHMCS in July of last year. The big announcement follows Open-Xchange’s launch of OX Documents in March.
