(The Hosting News) – A new data center expansion is underway for hosting provider Peak 10. Announced on Wednesday, the move gives the company additional space to be constructed during multiple development stages. The final product is set to represent a 62 thousand square foot facility within the company’s presence at University Research Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Peak 10’s data center services cover areas such as management for systems, storage, security and applications. Also provided for is disaster recovery along with system backup and restore.
“The entrepreneurial and dynamic business climate in Charlotte has served our company well; it’s a great place to do business,” commented Peak 10 CEO David Jones in a press release regarding the matter. The company’s already established presence in the area includes three facilities, two of which encompass an area of ten thousand square feet each. The other covers over thirteen thousand.
Meanwhile, phase one of the new project is set for completion within the coming months, according to the company. Other phases are set to be finished at later dates.
Some of Peak 10’s most high profile clients include RE/MAX, AAA Carolinas, the Tim Tebow Foundation and the Gator Bowl.
While Charlotte serves as the company’s corporate headquarters, it isn’t the only market the company has an established presence in. Other U.S. data center locations include Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Nashville and Tampa.
Peak 10 was established in 2000 and has expanded considerably since its launch. Just earlier this month, the hosting provider officially launched a new 11 thousand square foot data center in the Florida area.
