(The Hosting News) – Data center provider EarthLink on Thursday unveiled its latest facility located in San Jose, California.
“Our robust, new San Jose data center provides EarthLink with a West Coast presence that leverages a state-of-the-art, integrated computing and storage platform with power, space and cooling capacity that will scale to support current and future IT service demands,” stated the company’s Michael D. Toplisek via a press release.
The data center joins EarthLink’s next-gen cloud hosting platform. In addition to the facility, the company added a new sales office in the Silicon Valley area.
Toplisek also discussed the data center’s important location. “San Jose is at the heart of the Silicon Valley, one of the most technologically-driven and innovative markets in the country, and an important hub and distribution point for IP traffic.”
The company held a ‘Join the Cloud Evolution’ seminar to mark the event. EarthLink’s services include cloud hosting, web hosting, disaster recovery, colocation, managed security and applications.
The new San Jose facility joins other EarthLink data centers in locations such as New York, South Carolina, Atlanta, Massachusetts and Georgia.
