(The Hosting News) – enStratus today announced support for Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with general availability in multiple Availability Zones in all AWS Regions: US East, US West, Europe, Singapore, and Tokyo.
Through the enStratus console, customers are now able to create VPC instances, manage VPC subnets, and launch VMs into specific subnets. In addition, customers are able to configure enStratus deployments to deploy launch configurations into a VPC subnet. enStratus network and subnet support also extends to Cloud.com networks, Nimbula vEthernets, and vCloud Director networks.
“AWS and enStratus are now able to provide customers with virtual network solutions on a global basis,” said George Reese, enStratus Chief Technology Officer. “With enStratus, deployments can be automated and secured based on the unique VPC needs of our clients.”
Using Amazon VPC with enStratus, customers can provision a private section of the AWS cloud where they can create and control a virtual network including selection of IP address range, creation of subnets, and configuration of route tables and network gateways. Customers can connect Amazon VPC directly to the Internet while also extending their corporate data center to the cloud using encrypted VPN connections.
