(The Hosting News) – Open-Xchange, a provider of business-class open source e-mail and collaboration software, announced today an agreement with EuroDNS, a domain name registrar specialized in international domain extensions, to offer hosted e-mail and collaboration.
Within the next month, more than 250,000 customers of EuroDNS will get both Open-Xchange webmail and PIM (Personal Information Management) at no additional charge with an option to move to full groupware, as well as support for mobile devices.
“Our SME (small- and medium-size enterprise) customers have been asking us for hosted applications to improve their office communication and securely store their documents,” said Xavier Buck, CEO of EuroDNS. “Open-Xchange is the ideal platform to extend our application services from hosting to SaaS. Open-Xchange provides unmatched user experience and features, along with a very attractive price point for our customers.”
“Open-Xchange helps service providers to gain competitive advantage and significantly grow profitability,” said Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange. “By leveraging our Open-Xchange software, EuroDNS will strengthen their relationship with existing customers, increase their average revenue per user and attract new customers.”
Open-Xchange software integrates e-mail, calendar, contact and task management with advanced groupware features such as information management and document sharing. Productivity is enhanced through unique teamwork features, like team view, single-password document sharing, and shared calendars, contacts, tasks and documents.
With recently introduced “Social OX” features, Open-Xchange also gives users the ability to consolidate any kind of existing webmail accounts — for example from Google and Yahoo — into a folder in Open-Xchange so they can be managed more easily. In addition, contact details from social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Xing can be added automatically to the Open-Xchange address book — giving users easy access to the latest contact information within their personal network. Users can now integrate and merge their address books from Google Mail and Facebook into Open-Xchange, as well.
Open-Xchange is used by more than 15 million users worldwide as hosted and on-premises business-class e-mail and groupware.
