(The Hosting News) – Top social site Facebook on Monday faced multiple technical glitches after performing what the company described as “network maintenance” on its system.
According to an NBC News report, some users had issues logging into the site while others were left unable to post status updates.
“An error occurred. Please try again later,” was one of the error messages that occurred, according to the report.
Facebook, for its part, acknowledged the problems in a message to NBC, noting they’d been fixed. “Earlier this morning, while performing some network maintenance, we experienced an issue that prevented some users from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%. We’re sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused,”: the company remarked.
It’s not the first time Facebook has faced problems. In August, the company’s developer accounts faced downtime amid reports of a malicious attack glitch. Facebook hosts over 1 billion users worldwide.
