(The Hosting News) – NTT America just increased its business portfolio and they’re doing it with some help from virtualization provider VMWare. On Thursday, the infrastructure host revealed that it’s expanding services to include hybrid cloud compatibility.
Hybrid cloud gives companies the capability of combing both public and private cloud services. NTT America provides services to enterprise IT administrators.
The move helps the company further its relationship with VMWare as the application extension was initiated after NTT America gained vCloud status from the virtualization provider. With the expanded services, the company also announced a new cloud portal, which it hopes will simplify cloud.
Commenting on the matter, NTT America’s VP of Data Center Services Doug McMaster stated, “Since the launch of the NTT Communications Private Cloud, we have continued to add critical services that our customers are demanding as they develop a mix of private cloud services leveraging resources from behind their corporate firewalls and in our data centers.”
“Achieving VMware vCloud® Powered status for our private cloud service offering shows our commitment to meeting complex customer requirements,” he continued.
VMWare (who NTT America worked with to make the announcement) is set to hold its annual VMworld conference in Las Vegas, Nevada from August twenty-ninth through September first. The event marks a large gathering for all those interested in virtualization. Some of the exhibitors include companies such as Cisco, Dell, and HP. Another VMWare conference will be held in Copenhagen in October.
Meanwhile, there’s been plenty of news on virtualization lately. Earlier this week, database provider Oracle announced Oracle VM 3.0, the latest version of its virtualization programming.
