Google Cloud Platform (GCP) recently launched its new Asia-Northeast region from Tokyo to give the company more traction in the Asian market. The new region increases GCP’s presence to two regions and six zones in Asia. That’s not including the planned expansions for the Asian market in Mumbai, Singapore, and Sydney still to come next year.
Google’s expansion plans also include new regions in the United States, Finland, Germany, UK, and Brazil. With six regions and 18 zones available currently, Google is planning to reach 14 regions and close to 40 zones at the end of next year.
