(The Hosting News) – At Google’s I/O conference on Tuesday, the company announced the release of the latest version of its popular cloud developing service, App Engine 1.5.0. The newest version of the service features Go programming, the open source platform that seeks to increase productivity among developers.
The addition of Go language makes it the first compiled language to function on the cloud development service. However, the Go programming is currently only available on a testing basis with the app.
The newer version will also provide new backends, helping developers use applications that require higher and longer load times.
Another feature included in the latest version is Pull Ques, which allow App Engine’s users to pull tasks from ques. The first version of App Engine was launched in 2008 with Python support.
