(The Hosting News) – Hewlett-Packard recently topped Dell’s $1.15 billion offer made last Monday for 3PAR, igniting a bidding war.

HP presented its offer on Monday morning in the form of a letter to 3PAR President and CEO David Scott.

Shane Robison, HP’s Executive VP and Chief Strategy and Technology Officer said in a letter that the new offer forces 3PAR’s board of directors to reconsider its  previous merger agreement with Dell.

3PAR has yet to comment about the offer and an announcement is expected to be made soon.
