(The Hosting News) – A new cloud solution was unveiled by electronics supplier HP on Tuesday. Covering areas such as public, managed and private clouds, the platform is called the HP Converged Cloud.
Aimed at enterprises, HP’s new solution makes use of already available technology including OpenStack, the company’s Converged Infrastructure along with management and security. HP also emphasized how the platform provides for confidence with management, consistency through common architecture and choice via a variety of operating systems, development environments and more.
“The convergence of cloud computing and mobile connectivity is changing the way infrastructures are built, applications are developed and information is delivered,” commented HP Executive VP of Software Bill Veghte in a press release regarding the matter.
Veghte also discussed how the solution “rapidly adapts” to enterprises’ “changing requirements.”
Meanwhile, HP cited research it had recently commissioned showing a trend shift in the delivery of services through organizations. According to the company, results showed that one of two enterprises operated “non-IT-sanctioned cloud solutions.”
As for other platforms, the company plans to begin offering its HP Public Infrastructure as a Service in beta starting the tenth of next month. In March, HP announced new IT support services for cloud. For more information regarding the company’s latest solution, view a press release here (hp.com).
