(The Hosting News) – IaaS provider ProfitBricks on Saturday announced it was launching a new foundation program suited to benefit startups.
It’s an offering that will assist them by providing virtual data centers. “Every startup deserves a cloud infrastructure that offers the speed and flexibility they need to stay competitive,” emphasized ProfitBricks USA CEO Bob Rizika in a press release.
Rizika also noted his company’s goal to provide the initiative to companies which “value access to cost-effective, next-generation cloud computing services.”
ProfitBricks has already begun the program in the New England area but plans to offer it nationally sometime early this year.
So what makes a company eligible? According to a ProfitBricks press release, those qualified must have a revenue under $1 million, making it possible for them to receive a free cloud server from the IaaS provider for up to one year. Other benefits, meanwhile, include allowing the eligible company to receive 20% off IaaS services for a year’s time.
Discussing the matter, ProfitBricks customer and Founder of USpin Ethan Bagley called the program “perfect” for his startup. Features, he noted, were “more scalable, more flexible and the easiest to setup and maintain.” “The Data Center Designer allows our team to focus on our product and not on learning and implementing a string of acronyms and complex setup configurations,” Bogley went on to say.
The program launch follows a September announcement by ProfitBricks in which the IaaS provider revealed a partnership with MassChallenge – something the company said would benefit entrepreneurs. ProfitBrick’s services pertain to high performance computing, SaaS and cloud.
