(The Hosting News) – Tech giant IBM on Tuesday unveiled a new cloud solution to protect clients from security attacks.
To make the offering possible, IBM has partnered with Akamai Technologies – a company specializing in security for platforms including cloud, mobile, enterprise and more.
“The partnership with Akamai combines a world-class security team and an intelligent network platform to strengthen cloud security. Together with Akamai, IBM can provide both proactive and reactive DDoS protection from the increasing frequency, scale and sophistication of these attacks,” stated IBM Security Services GM Kris Lovejoy via a press release.
Specifically, IBM is integrating Akamai’s Kona Site Defender within its portfolio of cloud security services.
The service is expected to focus on areas including preparation, mitigation, monitoring, response and intelligence. You can read more about the move by viewing a press release here (ibm.com).
