The move involves PEER 1 Hosting and Tier 3 who are now offering an enterprise cloud platform backed with support from top virtualization provider VMware.
Utilizing PEER 1’s hosting infrastructure, the product combines with Tier 3’s cloud platform. Also mixed in is the virtualization side of the matter, with support being drawn from vCloud, renowned for simplifying IT management.
Discussing the matter in a press release, PEER 1 Hosting CEO Fabio Banducci said the new product would “allow customers to focus on growing their business without worrying about security, backup or compliance.”
“Our unique utility-based pricing model also means they are paying only for what they need without having to invest in technology they are not using,” Banducci also commented.
Primary features of the platform include automatic backup, SLA and offsite replication.
Tier 3 Founder Jared Wray, meanwhile, emphasized the solution’s ability allowing clients to streamline IT. The move arrives around a month after PEER 1 announced it had completed two audits on its colocation facilities in areas including Miami, Florida.
