(The Hosting News) – Interxion, a top colocation provider in Europe has converted its Belgian data center to use 100% green energy, the company announced Tuesday.
With the conversion, hydroelectric, wind and solar power are now fully utilized at the data center.
In a press release, Interxion Belgium’s Managing Director Frederik Dewulf stated, “This move to 100% green energy further reflects our commitment and reassures our customers that we always endeavour to provide the most energy-efficient environment, whether that be through the power we offer or the overall design of our sites.”
The data center, located in Brussels, works off of a 15MVA grid and is 5 thousand square feet.
Interxion is based and Amsterdam and currently has 28 data centers throughout Europe that serve 1,200 customers .
