(The Hosting News) – A key division of website solutions provider Intuit will now fall under the ownership of the Endurance International Group, an owner of web-centric brands, according to a report appearing on Nasdaq.com.
The announcement was made on Thursday to sell Intuit Websites, a division serving small businesses. Â Financial terms of the acquisition were not made available.
The move paves the way for Endurance to expand its vast portfolio which already includes online solutions pertaining to hosting and domain registration.
Intuit’s business website creator provides users with a simplified way to create websites with steps including design selection and customization. No coding is required. Intuit is also noted for the software offering known as QuickBooks, a popular accounting solution. Other offerings by the provider include payroll services and payment processing. Meanwhile, the deal is expected to close by sometime early next year.
Endurance International has made big news in the past by acquiring web hosting providers. Previous acquisitions by the company have included buying Fat Cow, Bluehost, iPage.com and more. The company also maintains product partnerships with PayPal, Akamai, Joomla! and CM4all.
