(The Hosting News) – It was a down morning for key Google services, a report from PCMag.com noted early Wednesday.
Google’s App Status Dashboard showed a number of errors affecting the likes of Gmail, Drive, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Google Groups and the Admin control panel/API.
However, the company was later able to restore the services. “The problem with Google Mail should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better,” stated Google via the dashboard.
The top search provider had noted earlier in the morning that the issue hit less than 0.007% of Gmail users. While sounding quite small, Gmail had 425 million active users in June of last year – so those affected surely embodied a decent number.
It’s hardly the first time Google services have faced trouble. Just last month, personal cloud service Google Drive was hit by an incident of downtime.
