(The Hosting News) – A number of companies are vying to acquire popular video-streaming service Hulu and now, you can include private equity firms KKR along with Silver Lake to a list that includes the possible likes of Yahoo!, Time Warner Cable and DirecTV.
The two firms made what were described as “separate bids,” a report from Bloomberg signaled Friday.
While the bidding price remains unknown, the two previously got together to buy top domain registrar Go Daddy in July of 2011.
Hulu is currently owned by several companies including Walt Disney Co., Comcast and News Corp.
A buy by Yahoo! would also be interesting – considering the company’s fresh off a $1.1 billion acquisition of blogging service Tumblr.
