(The Hosting News) – Laplink Software, Inc. today announced the launch of its migration solution for businesses, PCmover® Enterprise, in Japan.
Laplink worked closely with its Japanese partner, AOS Technologies, to develop the latest version of PCmover Enterprise and to ensure its functionality and user interface is appropriate to the Japanese market. AOS will help Laplink introduce this solution in Japan as it has successfully done with editions of PCmover for consumers and small businesses.
“PCmover is the number one choice for cost-effective Windows 7 deployments,” commented Laplink CEO Thomas Koll. “We expect to see similar success in Japan as we have in the U.S. and Europe when corporate users understand the value PCmover Enterprise delivers.”
PCmover Enterprise is unique in addressing the need of IT departments to cost-effectively deploy Windows 7 when dealing with user-managed desktops. While other solutions such as the User State Migration Tool (USMT) may be cost-effective in a centralized and highly-managed environment, these solutions do not deliver the cost-savings and ROI that PCmover delivers enterprise-wide.
“Today, the consumerization of IT trend means every IT department no matter what size the organization is must deal with user-managed desktops, which are the most expensive to migrate,” continued Koll. “It’s the classic 80/20 situation where 20% of the migrations – the difficult user-managed desktops – are likely 80% of the deployment project’s cost. Laplink solves this problem cost-effectively and saves businesses hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars. That’s why Fortune 1000 companies are choosing PCmover Enterprise and that’s why we are launching the Japanese version.”
PCmover is already the number one selling migration product for consumers and small businesses in both the U.S. and Japan. It was named the top selling utility software in Japan in 2010 and recently received the NEC Biglobe Softplaza award for a new revolutionary product.
“We are excited to help Laplink expand PCmover’s presence in Japan,” said AOS Technologies President and CEO Takamasa Sasaki. “Japanese consumers have made it the top selling utility software in our country already. I am confident that businesses in Japan will adopt PCmover Enterprise just as quickly and overwhelmingly, also making it number one in that market segment.”
Laplink offers pilot projects of PCmover Enterprise to ensure that it is customized correctly and meets the specific needs of each company’s unique migration project. Organizations which are interested in a pilot project should contact Laplink Corporate Sales here or visit http://www.laplink.com for more information.
Consumer editions of PCmover are available from http://www.laplink.com and at major software retailers throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
