(The Hosting News) – Managed service and colocation provider Latisys on Wednesday announced integration for Microsoft Hyper-V, a move that makes it possible for the provider’s clients to launch virtual machines on the platform.
“Latisys is committed to providing customers with flexibility – in the form of options – for how they deploy virtualization strategies for today’s dynamic IT environments,” stated Layisys VP of Engineering Christian Teeft via a press release.
Teeft continued, “Unlike cloud orchestration solutions built upon rigid manufacturer platforms, a hypervisor-agnostic approach leveraging Hyper-V gives forward thinking service providers greater flexibility in the types of IT infrastructure service solutions they can offer the enterprise. Nobody likes vendor lock-in.”
Microsoft Hyper-V is popular for helping consolidate workloads.
