(The Hosting News) – Apple’s recently debuted Mac Pro computer will be utilized for dedicated hosting and colocation, Mac-centric hosting provider MacStadium recently announced.
The company, which already offers Mac Mini hosting, noted the offering would start at $45/month, feature the Mac Pro’s Dual Xeon CPU, Custom Pod Technology and Enterprise SAN Storage along with other features.
“The MacStadium Mac Pro colocation facilities are meticulously engineered and constructed to facilitate 270 Mac Pro servers per POD while occupying only 12 square feet of datacenter floor space,” stated the company via its website.
In addition to that, the company noted the Mac Pros would be stored via a POD in a pressurized environment, something that provides for up to 270 Mac Pro servers per POD.
MacStadium also makes use of the Mac Pro’s thermal core technology for cooling. A full gigabit of Internet connectivity is offered.
Apple originally showcased its new Mac Pro earlier this month at WWDC.
