(The Hosting News) – Do you have old VCRs, fax machines, printers or other electronic devices collecting dust in your home? Now you can recycle them for free at the Eastern Hills Mall and West Seneca locations of MacSolutions Plus, Western New York’s leading independent Apple Specialist store.
This new service comes in response to the New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act, which allows for recycling of the following covered electronic equipment: computers, televisions, small scale servers, monitors, keyboards and mice, fax machines, printers / scanners, cell phones, VCRs, DVRs, portable digital music players, DVD players, digital converter boxes, cable or satellite receivers, and electronic or video game consoles.
As an official drop-off location and a member of the eWASTE Alliance Partner Network, MacSolutions Plus will not charge any recycling fees for covered electronic equipment.
“Our customers are always looking for hassle-free ways to get things done – that’s why they buy Macs,” stated Garret Cleversley, owner and president of MacSolutions Plus. “This new service is just one more way we can help our customers.”
Although the state regulations do not officially begin until April 1, 2011, MacSolutions Plus – in conjunction with the eWASTE Alliance Partnership – has elected to offer this program immediately.
Consumers can drop their equipment off at either MacSolutions Plus location – in Eastern Hills Mall (across from the food court), Monday – Saturday 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday 12 pm to 5 pm, or at the West Seneca MacSolutions Plus store, 10 Center Road in West Seneca, Monday – Friday 9 am to 6 pm.
For any special premium services including direct pickup, secure data destruction services, and non-covered items, businesses should call 888-563-1340 or visithttp://www.ewaste.com.
