(The Hosting News) – Early Tuesday, Microsoft announced the acquisition of cloud-based customer-care service provider, Parature, as an attempt to boost its customer relationship experience, states a Microsoft press release.
Parature’s software helps businesses manage online discussion boards, conduct online surveys, and provides customer service.
“Parature is a perfect fit for every business and will enable us to offer customers one of the best cloud-based solutions for customer self-service. This is a compelling combination for organizations committed to delivering the best service experience that consistently exceeds their customers’ expectations,” states corporate VP of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Bob Stutz.
Parature’s customer service extends to midsize to enterprise organizations with over 70 million users worldwide including Ask.com, IBM, United States Environmental Protection Agency, and Saba Software Inc.
Microsoft did not disclose the terms of the agreement, but product integration plans and timelines will be discussed at Parafest 2014 in Las Vegas and Convergence 2014 in Atlanta.
