(The Hosting News) – Despite having just released Internet Explorer 9 last month, Microsoft is already gearing up for the release of Internet Explorer 10. The company previewed the latest version of their flagship web browser at this year’s annual MIX Conference in Las Vegas.
The preview version of Internet Explorer 10 is only available for Windows 7. One focus of the latest version of Explorer is improved HTM5. During a speech at the conference, Microsoft’s corporate Vice President Dean Hachamovitch stated, “Internet Explorer 10 will push the boundaries of what developers can do on the Web even further”.
Explorer 10 will also improve Cloud support and faster browsing speed, both of which Explorer 9 focused on. The browser will also add improved CSS3. Improving CSS3 helps Explorer load images at a higher rate of speed.
With more regular releases of Explorer, Microsoft looks to regain momentum lost in recent years due to other popular web browsers including Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
While the company has yet to set an official release date for the browser, analysts expect its release by no later than early 2012. Last month’s release of Internet Explorer 9 was the first serious attempt at overhauling the web browser in some time.
