LeaseWeb, a web hosting provider, has recently launched a cloud platform in the Asia-Pacific market. They are not just dipping their toe in the water, but diving in with a full set of cloud services. The announcement was made on Monday and both public and private cloud products will be available.
The product suite for the Asian market will be about the same as the other products offered by LeaseWeb in the United States, Germany and the Netherlands. They will use the flat fee pricing model and will offer Apache CloudStack, along with fully redundant architecture.
This announcement doesn’t come as much of a surprise. When LeaseWeb decided to open a data center in Singapore, it was only a matter of time before they followed it up with a cloud service for the Asian market.
