Baltimore-based Internet Hosting Provider Alabanza Celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary This Month
Tom Cunningham founded the company with a goal of using automation to
help clients grow their business and increase their profit margins.
When Alabanza first offered its hosting automation services, the high
level of technical and personal service gained recognition from PC Week
and The Ultimate Web Host publications.
Looking back over the past 10 years, Alabanza stands by the decision to
fund its business plan from operations and an initial angel investor
rather than venture capital or IPO. “Unlike many of our hosting
competitors, we were forced to build a self-reliant, successful
company. This is one of the main reasons we are here today and stronger
than ever,” said Chief Financial Officer Andy Fleischer.
During Alabanza’s 10-year history, many companies appeared quickly,
gained large amounts of attention, and then disappeared. “Alabanza
survived and grew during that tumultuous period as a result of our core
values. Every employee is required to act with honesty, integrity,
respect and charity. We bring those core values to our clients, in
addition to healthy doses of energy, innovation, and experience,” said
founder and Chief Executive Officer Cunningham.
Ranked second in Deloitte & Touche’s 2004 Maryland Fast 50 and in
the top 100 of fastest growing North American technology companies,
Alabanza continues to excel. Alabanza’s automated web hosting solutions
are used by more than 350 web hosting companies, developers, systems
integrators, ISPs, and telecommunication carriers. The Alabanza network
safely and securely handles more than 7 terabytes of data and 1.2
million email accounts.
Alabanza continues its growth by announcing a suite of Managed
Services. “We are excited about the new Managed Services offering. By
leveraging our 10 years of experience in the automated hosting industry
and our expert technical knowledge, Alabanza can now deliver robust,
fully-managed hosting solutions to our clients,” said Cunningham.
These Managed Services are designed for business-critical web sites and
enterprise applications. The solid foundation of Alabanza’s Managed
Services provides corporate Information Technology (IT) departments
with the flexibility and confidence they need, along with significant
cost savings. Alabanza offers various levels of service and options to
accommodate diverse client requirements including web servers,
application servers, databases, and email solutions that provide
continuous availability, solid security, and world-class customer
support. “Managed Services are the next chapter in an amazing Alabanza
success story for us, and for our clients,” said Cunningham.
