Atlanta, Georgia – (via THE HOSTING NEWS) – September 7, 2005 – TS-Host, an Atlanta hosting company, has
announced plans to offer free and reduced price web hosting to organizations
affected by the devastation of Katrina.
Dr. Nino Doijashvili, CEO of Tulip Systems, explained the offering, “Through TS-Host, our web hosting division, we wish to offer assistance to individuals, companies, educational institutions and governmental agencies who lost their web presence due to the damage caused by Katrina. Our research indicates that many Gulf Coast hosting companies are down. This situation affects not only local businesses, but companies around the country that are clients of these stricken hosting providers. We purchased 50 additional servers, because we want to help in whatever way we can.”
TS-Host is offering ‘not for profit’ organizations, like educational institutions and local governmental agencies, free hosting services for three months. This offer includes free technical assistance in moving back-up copies of their websites to the TS-Host data center.
‘For profit’ businesses can avail themselves of the same services for the reduced rate of 50% of TS-Host’s published pricing.
Dr. Doijashvili said, “We believe three months gives companies the opportunity to decide their best course of action. During that time, they can feel confident that their web sites are secure and operational within our Atlanta-based Network Operations Center.” Doijashvili continued, “Disaster recovery is an important consideration for any company that relies on the Internet. Organizations often spend tens of thousands of dollars on the creation and marketing of their websites. Without the emergency backup services we are offering, that investment could disappear overnight.”
