The Swedish company Ipwalk AB has just made its first public release of the service they call ipwalk.com (http://www.ipwalk.com). The service includes statistics of all generic domain names in the world, grouped by hosting provider, including history of delegations and lots more. All data included in ipwalk.com is being updated on a daily basis and has a history dating back to the beginning of April 2005.
“Ipwalk.com is currently in its final beta stage. We’re all looking forward to

“With my experience of the hosting industry I’ve come to realize the need for
a service such as this”, says Sam Nurmi, CEO of Ipwalk AB. He continues, “ipwalk.com
is of great value for everyone in the hosting industry. You’re able to view the
growth of a certain company over a period of time and compare it to other companies
as well as notice the effects of a certain marketing campaign. I’m confident in
the fact that this service will change the way that hosting companies perform
their business in the future.”
Sam Nurmi knows what he’s talking about. In less than 4 years he made Loopia (http://www.loopia.se)
become the largest and most popular web hosting company in Sweden.
Ipwalk.com was initially released, for a closed audience, on April the 1st 2005. The service now contains more than 53 millions domain names, and over 700,000 web hosts all around the world. Every single provider, even those with just one domain among .com, .net, .org, .edu, .info and .biz, can be found in the ipwalk.com database.
