News: Crucial Paradigm, Dedicated Server Reseller Web Host, Premieres New Division
News
Sydney, Australia - (The Hosting News) - February 19, 2008 - Shared, reseller, dedicated and managed web hosting solutions firm, Crucial Paradigm Australia, has released plans to adopt intiatives in order to make its entire line of hosting solutions greener, to assist in the cessation of the rise of carbon emissions into the Earth's atmosphere.

Ijan Kruizinga, Chief Operations Officer of Crucial Paradigm Australia noted, ''We see our company as not only a member of the Australian community, but also a part of the world community. It is therefore imperative we do everything we can to protect and preserve our planet, both on behalf of ourselves and our customers. We believe businesses can be both financially successful and environmentally responsible, and we hope Crucial Paradigm Australia is a testament to that.''

The company originally began to plan its green, or environmentally friendly, hosting initiative in July, 2007. Since then, the company has explored and implemented a series of changes and policies designed to better protect the environment. It now runs a completely paperless office, at night shuts down a series of nonessential systems to save electricity, and minimizes vehicle usage.

With the assistance of Carbon Neutral, Crucial Paradigm Australia has begun to offset unavoidable carbon emissions by planting trees in Coomberdale, Australia. So far over 160 trees have been planted under the program, offsetting 28 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The trees help preserve wildlife and recapture atmospheric CO2, which is then converted into oxygen.

To determine the number of trees to be planted, Crucial Paradigm Australia uses a carbon-emissions calculator. It includes various sources of emissions, such as electricity usage, staff emissions, vehicles and general running of the office. Additionally, the company will plant one tree for every new hosting account signed up.

Crucial Hosting Australia’s international division, Crucial Paradigm, is also planning a program to plant hundreds of trees in a developing nation. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Founded in 2003, Crucial Paradigm operates in multiple locations around the world. The privately-owned, debt-free company offers a wide range of hosting solutions from Basic Web Hosting to Reseller Hosting, Virtual Dedicated Servers, Dedicated Servers and High Traffic Clusters, custom designed, based on each client's individual requirements.
