Independent data center operator and managed services provider, Peak 10, has appointed Mark Whetstone to its management team, as vice president of business development, responsible for overseeing the company’s market development and strategic partnerships.

Mr. Whetstone comes to Peak 10 from M3 Technology Group (M3TG), a Charlotte, N.C.-based managed and professional services company where he was the co-founder and managing director. A long time resident of Tampa, Fla., where he attended the University of South Florida with majors in marketing and business administration, he has worked in sales, business development, channel sales, national accounts and leadership roles for MCI/Verizon and EMC Corporation. In addition to M3TG, he also co-founded Tampa-based Gulf Coast Long Distance.
