Houston, Texas – (The Hosting News) – November 5, 2007 – Privately held dedicated web hosting company, The Planet, has reported its financial results for the third quarter in 2007, including over 1,500 new customers leasing servers in the company’s six data centers.
Kevin Klausmeyer, Chief Financial Officer at The Planet noted, ”The Planet produced another record revenue quarter, continuing its inception-to-date string of sequential record quarters. Gross margins exceeded 34 percent due to aggressive cost control. EBITDA approximated 29 percent, despite substantial continued investment in the business. Our private rack business is growing very fast, at more than 80%. This business is comprised of our highest ARPU (average revenue per unit) transactions, which range from $500 to $800. Our private rack business is driven by our stickiest customers, who enter into contracts of varying lengths of at least one year.”
Douglas J. Erwin, Chairman and CEO at The Planet added, ”We are seeing increasingly strong results across the company from our intense focus on customer experience. Customers are our life blood and are directly responsible for our success, so we consistently monitor satisfaction metrics. We continue to drive initiatives that place customers front and center in the products and services we provide, which is enabling us to grow faster than the hosting industry.”
