Minneapolis, Minnesota – (The Hosting News) – September 26, 2005 – Digital River, Inc.,
a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, has announced that it is providing
e-commerce support for Micro Research, Inc., a developer of multimedia software
Based on a multi-channel agreement, Digital River is processing online
order transactions and digitally delivering the popular 3D Album software on
Micro Research’s e-commerce site, located at www.3d-album.com, as well as through hundreds of online retail, content and portal sites in the Digital River oneNetwork online sales channel.
Dave Alampi, Digital River’s Vice President of Marketing explained the partnership, “Many of our clients share a common sales goal – that is to aggressively expand their online businesses by tapping into new markets and growing their customer bases. We are able to help them do this by building client-branded e-commerce sites and adding their products to our oneNetwork online sales channel. This two-pronged approach, which leverages both direct and indirect online sales models, is helping us achieve greater exposure for our clients’ products as well as demonstrate the value that outsourcing to an established e-commerce provider can bring.”
Consumers shopping on the Micro Research site, which was built and launched by Digital River, can find creative and sophisticated authoring tools as well as products that help them edit graphics and photos, produce DVD and video files, and organize digital photos. Featured product titles include 3D-Album Commercial Suite, 3D-Album PicturePro Standard, and 3D-Album PicturePro Platinum. To help Micro Research achieve its e-commerce sales goals, Digital River has added 3D Album software programs to its oneNetwork, an online sales channel that offers Digital River clients the opportunity to generate increased visibility and incremental sales for their products through indirect sales programs.
“Outsourcing to Digital River has provided us the opportunity to not only sell our software on hundreds of online retail sites without having to build relationships with each retailer, but also offer a more robust e-commerce site that caters to our customers’ shopping preferences,” said Yuting Tu, president of Micro Research. “Previously, we offered only a physical copy of our software. Now, we are satisfying our customers’ demands for downloadable versions of our software by capitalizing on Digital River’s expertise in digitally delivering software. We are putting the company’s comprehensive e-commerce offering to work to help us provide a superior online buying experience from the time our customers begin shopping on our site all the way through product delivery.”
