Blacksburg, Virginia – (The Hosting News) – December 12, 2005 – Provider of
email hosting services to small businesses, Webmail.us, has released Version 1.0 of its web-based calendar and online task
manager. Both services integrate with the existing webmail interface and are
accessible from any Internet-connected computer.
Like the company’s Email Hosting System and related services, neither requires a software download or installation. Features include:
• Multiple views for the calendar–including day, week, work week, weekend, and month views
• Alerts and email reminders for time-sensitive appointments and events
• Support for all day, time-based, and recurring events
• Ability to view all tasks, or only the completed or incomplete tasks
• Ability to store notes with each calendar event and task listing
Pat Matthews, CEO at Webmail.us, Inc. explained, ”As our customer base has grown, so too has the demand we’ve seen for web-based calendaring. More of our customers are relying on webmail to check email – now they’ll be able to track their appointments, events, and task lists, all from the same web interface.”
The calendar and task list manager have been built using Ajax, the popular web development framework that helps make web-based software faster by eliminating page refreshes with every click of the mouse.
”Our two main goals with the calendar and task list manager were speed and simplicity,” added Matthews. ”We believe that most of our customers would prefer to use a web-based calendar over traditional desktop software as long as the interface is fast and easy to use.”
Version 1.0 of the web-based calendar and online task manager is now available for all Webmail.us customers. To learn more, please visit: www.webmail.us.
