Go Daddy Email and Blackberry Smartphones
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 15, 2007) - No more sitting at a computer waiting for that important email. As email becomes more vital to business success, owners and employees are taking matters into their own hands, literally. And it shows.

The small to mid-size business segment using mobile smartphones for email has grown by 50 percent during the past 18 months, according to IDC, an analyst firm. Go Daddy teamed up with Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq:RIMM) and integrated Go Daddy email accounts with BlackBerry® Internet Service, which allows quick and easy access to email on the go.

"This ideal solution allows our customers to be away from their computers and more easily communicate by email," said GoDaddy.com CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. "We want to make life easier for our customers and this integration with BlackBerry email certainly does the trick."

The integration, when used in conjunction with Go Daddy Web-Based Email, allows users to send and receive their email using a BlackBerry® smartphone. As email messages are read and deleted from either the smartphone or the Go Daddy Web-Based Email, the message status is synchronized between the BlackBerry smartphone and the Go Daddy mail box. Email messages sent from the user’s BlackBerry smartphone will appear in their ‘sent’ folder online.

"Wireless email is a productivity goldmine for mobile professionals and businesses of any size," said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion. "We are continuously working to enrich the mobile experience with BlackBerry smartphones and it is a pleasure to be working together with Go Daddy to bring enhanced email connectivity and synchronization to our mutual customers."

Once an email account is setup with GoDaddy.com, BlackBerry users simply need to input their username and password on the handset and the BlackBerry Internet Service will be able to automatically synchronize with their web-based account. When an email message is received, BlackBerry smartphone users receive an alert letting them know new email arrived.

Go Daddy email also offers virus protection, spam filtering, phishing fraud protection and 256-bit encryption, just to name a few of the enhancements that come at no charge. Whenever someone registers or transfers a domain name, they receive a free email account.
