Host Gator Reseller and Dedicated Hosting Firm, Upgrades Shared Plans

Houston, Texas - (The Hosting News) - October 28, 2008 - Shared, dedicated and reseller web hosting firm, HostGator, has upgraded its plan structure, by offering unlimited space and bandwidth, in its shared hosting plan portfolio.

The upgrades affect both new and existing shared hosting customers. With this change, there will be no space and bandwidth restrictions on any shared hosting plans from HostGator. The differentiation between the companyâ€™s three shared hosting plans will lie in the extra features offered with each plan.

HostGator's entry-level shared hosting plan, the Hatchling, allows customers to host one domain name with their account, while the mid-level plan, called the Baby plan, allows customers to host unlimited domain names within the same account. The newly renamed Business plan, which is designed for customers looking to conduct e-commerce transactions on their web sites, offers shared hosting customers unlimited domains and as well as a free SSL certificate and dedicated IP address.

With the new plans, all of HostGator's existing customers will also be able to have unlimited space and bandwidth. Customers that currently have the Business plan will also be able to request a free SSL certificate and dedicated IP address.

These upgrades represent part of a series of moves by HostGator to become the world-leading provider of shared, reseller, and dedicated web hosting. The company is expecting a 20% sales increase as a result of the plan upgrades.
