Hosting.com released its 2009 Cloud Computing Trends Report, completed based on data it collected over a five-week period by conducting an open survey targeting company executives and IT professionals.
The 2009 Cloud Computing Trends Report introduces new data into the cloud marketplace. This survey provided insight into the expectations small, medium and large businesses have of Cloud Computing, their intended uses, reasons for adopting, and expected time-frames for implementing cloud-based solutions.
The report revealed that there is little difference between how larger companies and small businesses will utilize Cloud Computing. Key findings include:
- Driving Factors for investing in Cloud Computing were similar regardless of company size, including Reduced Costs, Uptime, Scalability and Performance.
- Adoption Rates are not impacted by company size
