Verio, a subsidiary of NTT Communications and a provider of IP solutions, recently announced that it is implementing emergency preparedness and business continuity planning as it continues to monitor the course of the hurricane.
Verio’s facilities, including its data center in Boca Raton, Florida, will be monitored on a 24 hour basis, to help ensure uninterrupted business operations. During the recent Hurricane Frances, Verio recorded no outages to data center service, nor any unusual spikes or slowdowns in data center performance The Florida facility has fully redundant power systems to ensure continuous power capabilities for an extended period. Additionally, backup generators are serviced through multiple priority contracts in the event refueling is required.
