
St. Louis, Missouri – (The Hosting News) – January 24, 2008 – IT infrastructure services for business applications, SAVVIS, has appointed Paul Goetz as its new Senior Vice President of Sales – Americas, a former EMC executive, charged with heading SAVVIS Americas’ solution selling efforts.
Prior to joining SAVVIS, Mr. Goetz spent nearly 20 years with EMC Corporation where he held executive positions in sales, solutions marketing, and professional services with assignments in North America and Europe. In his most recent role as Vice President of Global Services Sales, he built a consultative sales force that drove EMC solutions globally. He replaces Jim Mori who has been appointed Senior Vice President, Client Services, a new position that will focus on maximizing the client experience and profitability through asset optimization.

Mr. Goetz’s appointment comes at a time when demand for web hosting and IT infrastructure services is expanding rapidly. Gartner now forecasts the North American web hosting market will grow from $12 billion in 2007 to more than $21 billion in 2011. Mr. Goetz holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
